“The box looks spectacular”

PROJECT SUMMARY
Client – End user client.
Material – White Matt Acrylic.
Production – 100 units.
Brief – Our client needed a simple cost effective plinth to showcase their bespoke Anglepiose lamp. It also needed to hide the cable and plug from sight.
Solution – The initial prototype was really well received and production for the 100 units was started straight away as the deadline was tight. Our client needed these urgently to coincide with the new product launch. The box design was adapted to ensure that it would hold the weight of the Anglepoise lamp at 3.8kg. Designed with a cut out the back section allows space for the cable and plug to fit snugly away so as to keep everything neat and tidy. So it looks great and has great strength too!
The acrylic was cut into sections with the cable and plug oval machined out of the back face. This was then glued together and polished to give a neat and tidy finish. This solution gave a result that has sharp corners and crisp lines. The client specified Matt White Acrylic and we think this looks great and sets off the product perfectly.
